

Provide leadership and strategic planning in support of the Assistant Division Director and provide back-up coverage as needed.

Lead, coordinate and manage key projects of significance for the section Assist with multiple projects and help generate and make data informed decisions.The successful candidate will also play a critical role in budget development for the section as well as a pivotal role in liaising with other departments and divisions.

Some examples of specific duties include managing and directing the evolution of the food safety rating system leading projects to improve quality and consistency of services and the permitting process improving document management supporting the transition to a new software media relations and records and files digitization as well as providing coaching, support, and mentorship to section leadership around soft skills, healthy conflict, performance management, and team-building. High level responsibilities include project management, policy development, strategic decision-making, media relations, human resources and budgeting/staffing.

This position will be responsible for leading and supporting high-level policies and projects across the section, in addition to supporting the staff in the program by closely working with the supervisors.
